(this is about 15 years ago, in middle school)
I have known Eric for 24 of my 26 years! Our parents are best friends and have been for those 24 years! Isn't that so sweet.. We grew up together. We never "went out" or dated. I have always had a crush on him ... since we were babies. Timing just never seems to work out for us. Eric had girlfriend after girlfriend in middle school and high school and I dated the same guy almost all through high school. Then we graduated high and went to the same college but he was on a different campus. After his first year in Athens he decided he wanted to head down to Georgia Southern. The next year my cousin (who also happens to be one of Eric's best friends) and Eric moved into an apartment together at GSU. Long story short Lee, my cousin, invited me down for a visit a few weeks after they moved in. The week before driving down I reached out to Eric and we talked all week long.. every night. Basically playing catch up... I hadn't talked to him since summer after senior year. I had butterflies in my stomach all week and my anxiety driving down there was INSANE! And I can't explain it but I can remember the feeling like it just happened, seeing him that night. And we have been together ever since that night :)
